Fairy Princess Sprite

Risa West Is a card making goddess! I received this card quite a while ago and photographed it right away but it got lost in the insane organization of my photo files. If you ask me I will tell you I hate square cards! At least I hate creating them. But how could anyone hate this pretty?  Some people have the knack of creating these so pretty and balanced. Risa is one of them.

Risa just lives a few miles up I75 from me here in mid Michigan  and I always say we are going to meet up someday. Problem is, I haven't been up that way in over a year. More like 2 years depending on where I was going shopping.  I have heard the  scrap shop moved twice! Maybe I should make a road trip. First gotta get a working car, however.  Please go visit Risa's blog and all the links to the design teams she has worked on. This is one incredibly talented and in-demand artist.

Knapsacked Tilda Runs Away!

It's been a while since I last posted anything to this blog. I have received many a wonderful card or special creation in the mail during the  last three years, but I just always forget to put them here. I will try to be more efficient.

I received this beautiful card from  Stephanie Hester of Huntsville, Mo for my birthday in December 2010. I don't know Stephanie at all yet she was the only person to remember my birthday. This card has been sitting on my desk amid all my rumble taunting me. You see, like Tilda, I want to run away. I would love it if for just one week, I would have nothing to worry about, nothing to think about and nothing to "do" but just be.

This is a close up of Tilda and if any of you seeing this haven't seen Magnolia stamps at shows or local stamps stores, do your wallet a work out and shop HERE or HERE or HERE, as they seem to have the best selections, prices and usually have a deal on shipping. I shop at all three at least once a quarter, so I would not suggest a place to spend the dollars unless I shopped them and felt good about it.

Please make sure to visit Stephanie's blog for some incredible ideas for using Magnolia stamps. You will love them all!

Just An Update On This Blog

I think a few of the visitors are confused about what I am posting here. These are all RAKs or cards OTHERS have sent to me over the years. I just hope you all appreciate them as much as I do. I have a huge box of cards to scan or photograph and put them up as I can. If I know the blog of the designer, I will also list it. Remember, I didn't make these! They were gifted to me!

Micheal Moore ATC

My friend Johanna made this. It was part of her fundraiser for Katrina a while back. I bought it because I love Micheal Moore. While I was disappointed he didn't receive another Oscar this year-all the nominated documentaries were worthy. They should be showing up on IFC before the year is out.

Celebrate

This was a card from my SU demo two years ago. I like the watercolor look of the image and it's a good card for any wintertime need.

An Angel's Thank You

This tiny but mighty card is from Jen Young at Pieces of Me . Jen is a demo for The Angel Company and she kindly sent me a catalog as I hadn't seen one in a long time. I have a wish list going and am quite impressed with the selection. She has fun little video demonstrations on her site and it was from her I learned about the hot knife to mount my UM stamps on cling foam.

Very Merry

Here is a seasonal card from Angel Wilde .If you go to her blog and see her photo, you will see she looks like a teenager. Explore her blog a bit-lots of ideas and insightful thought.

Trick or Treat Pencil Pouch

I received this wonderful pouch with 6 way cool Prisma pencils inside (the dog ate one). There is no name on it so if you made this, let me know and I will add your name and blog. All I know is that it came from Canada but was mailed in the US.

New Orleans ATC

My friend Johanna made this ATC and the proceeds from its sale went to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. I purchased it from her so she could send some much needed cash to help others. Jo is like that-a very kind soul she is.
I will post some other ATC's she made including one of my hero Micheal Moore as soon as I can.

Smell My Feet

This was sent to me by my SU demo Stella who I have never met. I bought a catty off Ebay from her and the rest is history. Meaning my budget is history. You can visit Stella's blog here. And she sells her old stamps on Ebay on occasion too.

Because of this card, I bought this set. Like anyone had to twist my arm on Halloween stamps!
